Chocolate Bundt Cake


  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons instant espresso
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • cooking spray


Heat over to 350.

 Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt.  Add butter, egg whites and egg, beat with mixer on low for 1 minute and then at high speed for another minute.  Add milk, espresso and vanilla, then mix for 1 more minute.  Pour batter into bundt pan coated with cooking spray. 

Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.  Cool in pan for 10 minutes.  Remove from pan, cool completely on wire rack.   Serve plain, with powdered sugar, or with chocolate sauce.
